1. Who runs this site
BassCamera is operated by RW Studio, based in Petrópolis / RJ, Brazil. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What BassCamera is
BassCamera is a library of bass guitar video lessons with tablature, online since 2007. Lessons are filmed close on the hands and split into parts, and most come with a downloadable tab and a Guitar Pro file.
It is a teaching service. We do not promise that you will reach any particular level of skill, and the catalogue changes over time as lessons are added and, occasionally, removed.
3. Your account
You need an account to subscribe. Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
An account is personal and for one person. Sharing your login, or giving access to people who have not paid, is grounds for us closing the account without a refund.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must hold it for you.
Tell us at once if you think someone else has your password. You can reset it yourself from the sign-in page.
4. Membership and payment
Lesson videos, tab PDFs and Guitar Pro files are for members. Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars and are charged by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term so your access is not interrupted. You can switch renewal off at any time.
If we change prices, the new price applies to new subscriptions. An active subscription keeps the price you signed up at for as long as it stays active.
Some long-standing members pay through PayPal under an older agreement. Those renewals continue at the price originally agreed, and they are cancelled from the member's own PayPal account.
5. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel at any time from My account, through Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until the period you have already paid for ends.
If the service is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. Beyond that window we look at requests case by case, and we would rather sort something out than argue about it.
6. What you may and may not do
You may use the lessons, tabs, PDFs and Guitar Pro files to learn and to practise, including for your own teaching and performing.
You may not republish, resell, upload or share the videos or files, in whole or in part, on any other site or service. You may not download or copy the videos other than through the site's own features, and you may not attempt to bypass access controls.
Automated scraping, or any attempt to disrupt the service or other members' use of it, is not allowed.
7. Who owns what
The videos, tablature, PDFs, Guitar Pro files, site design and text belong to us or to our contributors and are protected by copyright.
The musical compositions taught in the lessons belong to their own authors and rights holders. Our lessons are educational transcriptions and analysis; they do not transfer any right in the underlying song to you.
Artist names and photographs are used to identify the songs being taught and remain the property of their owners.
8. Availability
We work to keep the site up, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upstream provider failures and events outside our control can cause downtime.
The archive goes back to 2007 and older lessons were filmed at the resolutions of the time. That is a fact of the catalogue, not a fault of the service.
9. Ending things
You can close your account whenever you like by writing to us.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, in particular section 6. Where we can, we will tell you why first.
10. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you, including the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, for example one affecting price or your rights, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and the courts of Petrópolis / RJ have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any right you have to bring proceedings where you live.
